How does the Merge PDF tool work?
Our tool combines multiple PDF documents into a single sequential PDF file. It joins the page trees of input documents in the order you specify, maintaining internal page scaling, text formatting, hyperlinks, and image resolutions.
This process guarantees that you retain high-fidelity formatting, including multi-column layouts, embedded fonts, forms, and graphics that standard page merging software naturally drops or distorts.
Privacy Architecture
Your privacy and document security are paramount. The uploaded files are transferred securely via standard 256-bit SSL encryption. Once the conversion process finishes, the resultant data and your original document are automatically marked for deletion from the active processing servers, ensuring your sensitive layouts, legal documents, or personal files are safe.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
Yes. In order to stitch page structures, merge fonts, and organize layout indexes, the files are temporarily transferred via encrypted HTTPS to a dedicated processing array layer where the compilation takes place.
Will my merged PDF retain links and formatting?
Yes! Because we leverage a native PDF document compiler, all formatting, embedded fonts, graphics, vector pathways, and active hyperlinks are preserved.
Is there a limit to how many PDFs I can merge?
Currently, the tool supports merging up to 10 PDF files in a single session, with each file having a maximum size of 25 Megabytes (MB).
Can I change the order of files before merging?
Yes, the upload queue interface displays all selected files and lets you sort them to arrange the sequence before triggering the merge process.
Are my original PDF files permanently modified?
No. The internal engine strictly runs a "read-only" merge against your source files. The generated document is a completely separate file, leaving your originals untouched.
